Clywedog Reservoir
14.4 miles from Maesmawr Farm Resort
The nearby Clywedog Reservoir is a spectacularly beautiful spot which as well as offering stunning views and countryside, is a very special home to many species of flora and fauna, including Osprey, Red Kite, Buzzard, Polecats, Tawny Owls and many varieties of butterflies and moths. The lake is also amply stocked with brown trout, which is managed by the Llanidloes Angling Society and water-sports can be enjoyed also courtesy of Clywedog Sailing Club - both organisations welcome visitors. There are a number of walks and trails to be enjoyed and the circular drive around the lake offers many amazing viewing points.
